Leola Walls, 74, of Bloomington passed away at 3:50 p.m. on Sept. 8 at her residence.

Her funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Bloomington with Rev. William L. Johnson of Loving Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, at the church. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.

Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Bloomington. Memorials may be made to The Community Cancer Center and Advocate Hospice.

Leola was born on Jan. 26, 1942 in Shaw, Miss., a daughter to Henry and Beatrice Watkins.

Surviving are her children: Tommy (Phaela) Walls of Indiana, Troy (Cheryl) Walls of Normal, Sharon Walls of Bloomington, Robert Walls of Bloomington; one sister, Mary Lee Watkins of Chicago; two brothers, Henry Watkins, Jr and Jesse Watkins, both of Mississippi; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Calvin Walls and David Walls; sister, Annette Short; brothers, Joseph Watkins and Levoin Watkins; and her parents, Henry and Beatrice.

Leola was a member of Loving Missionary Baptist Church in Bloomington. She worked for many years at Eureka Williams, and later Model-Paris Dry Cleaning, Ramada Inn and Signature Inn. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and spending time with family.
