Paul M. Crutcher, 57 of Bloomington, Ill., passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 7:51 a.m. at his home.

Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be made to the House of Faith, 2243 Westgate Drive, Bloomington, Illinois 61705.

Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington, Ill. is in charge of arrangements.

Paul was born on June 25, 1959 in Bloomington the son of Myron and JoAnne (Cooper) Crutcher.

He is survived by his wife: Nancy Crutcher of Bloomington, his father: Myron “Buck” Crutcher of Bloomington and his sister: Martha (Brian) Sparrow of Sumrall, Mississippi.

Marion Heissler
Marion M. Heissler

Marion M. Heissler, 91, of Normal, passed away at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.

Her funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m., Friday, May 26, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bloomington with Rev. Gregory Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Normal. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. -11 a.m. Friday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to St. Mary’s School.

Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Marion was born February 23, 1926 in Chicago, the daughter of Frank Lux and Margaret Loeffler Lux. She married Joseph F. Heissler IV on August 23, 1947 in Chicago. He died March 6, 2006.

She is survived by two sons, Joseph (fiancé Gina Stewart) Heissler of Pittstown, New Jersey, and Steven (Cathy) Heissler of Normal; daughter-in-law Sandy Heissler of Normal; a brother Frank (Anne Marie) Lux, Annapolis, Maryland; grandchildren Jason (Donna Gerig) Heissler, Jaime Heissler, Lauren Heissler (Boris) Todorova, Drew Heissler, Adam (Kelly) Heissler, Abby Heissler, Liz (Traye) Nevius, and Amie Heissler; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and brothers Matthew, Peter, and John.

Marion graduated from St. Alphonsus High School in Chicago in 1942, where she was active in choir and drama. She had retired from secretarial work for various construction and property management companies, and was a devoted mother and homemaker during her sons’ childhood. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She donated many hours in service to Epiphany parish and grade school and the Normal Knights of Columbus. She and her husband loved to dance. They spent many summer vacations camping in Door County, Wis.
