Louise Lukert
Louise Stanger Lukert, 98 of Normal, Ill. passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 3:23 a.m. at the McLean County Nursing Home, Normal.
Louise’s service will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church with Pastor Vaughn Hoffman officiating. Following the service burial will be held at Dawson Cemetery, Ellsworth, Illinois. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 24, 2017 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home.
Memorials may be made to the Wesley United Methodist Church, Westminster Village Foundation or Home Sweet Home Mission.

Louise was born on June 2, 1919 at Ellsworth, the daughter of Ernest H. and Cora E. (Lauritson) Arrowsmith. She married Lyle Eugene Stanger on November 8, 1941 at Bloomington. He preceded her in death on May 1, 1985. She later married Lewis H. Lukert on June 4, 1988 at Bloomington, he preceded her on January 2, 2004.
Louise is survived by her sons, John Stanger of Eureka, Mo. and Bill Stanger of Bloomington; step sons, Jim (Lorraine) Lukert of Fort Myers, Florida and John Lukert of Dallas, Texas, one granddaughter, Kristin (Greg) Stanger Kuepfert, 1 great grandson, 5 step grandchildren, 14 step great grandchildren and 2 great great step grandchildren, along with nieces and nephews, Judy (Bob) Smithson Boehle, James (Cathy) Smithson, Rodney (Carol) Smithson, Mary E. Winters and Sandra (Jim) Gibbs.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
Louise graduated from Ellsworth High School and University Beauty School. She owned and operated a beauty shop in Ellsworth and various shops in Bloomington. She also worked at Beich Candy Company and later worked for Brokaw Hospital for 15 years.
Louise was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in which she was active with the church Choir, Esther Circle and several more groups. She also participated in the Passion Play, Girl Reserves at Ellsworth and was a life time member of Brokaw Hospital Service League and Home Sweet Home Mission.
Louise will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.
