Berniece Folk

E. Berniece Folk 86 of Pontiac, died Monday July 31, 2017 at 12:16 p.m. at Pontiac Healthcare and Rehab Center, Pontiac.

Cremation rites will be accorded and a graveside service will be held on Saturday August 5, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Swygert Cemetery, rural Pontiac with Pastor Andy Fuqua officiating. Memorials in Berniece’s name may be made to Relay for Life or Pontiac Bible Church.

Berniece was born on July 20, 1931 in Odell, Ill., a daughter of John and Elva (Davis) Branz. She married Robert E. Folk on July 2, 1955 in Pontiac. He preceded here in death on November 1, 2004. Survivors include: four sons: Steven (Maria) Folk of Cornell, Ill. Robert (Suzanne) Folk of Forrest, Ill., Paul (Diana) Folk of Pontiac and Dennis (Jeannette) Folk of Tucson, Ariz.; one daughter: Lori (Calvin) Jones of Kankakee, Ill.; five sisters: Mary (Alvin) Austin of Emington, Ill., Dorothy (Bill) Richison of Pontiac, Ruth (Ralph) Sancken of Saunemin, Ill., Myrtle (Jerry) Bressner of Pontiac, and Donna (Jim) Hooley of Iowa; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.

Berniece was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, two brothers and one great grandson.

Berniece was educated in Saunemin schools and had been employed at Carter Bakery and then for thirty-two years at Morton Printing in Pontiac. She was a member of the Pontiac Bible Church.

Darin MillerDarin Miller

Darin D. Miller, 36 of Bloomington, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

Darin’s visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington.

Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.

Darin was born on April 4, 1981 in Bloomington the son of Duane Miller and Margaret Stewart Graham.

He is survived by his parents, Duane (Beverly) Miller of Bloomington, Margaret (Mike) Graham of Bloomington, his sister, Julie Miller of Bloomington and his cat “Gina.”

Darin enjoyed boating, fishing, and anything outdoors.

Darin had a heart of gold and loved helping people.

Darin was a loving son and brother and will be missed deeply by his family and friends.
