Linda J. Hinchee
Linda J. Hinchee, 69, of Bloomington, passed away at 8:01 p.m., Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.
Her visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington. A private family burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Bloomington.
Memorials may be directed to Community Cancer Center in Normal.
Linda was born October 25, 1947 in Macomb, Illinois, the daughter of Clark D. and Dorothy Jean Trummel Griswold. She married James E. Hinchee on March 5, 1967 in Roseville, IL. He preceded her in death on October 31, 2016.
She is survived by a son, James (Beth) Hinchee of Peoria, a daughter, Shannon (Rich) Beck of Bloomington; five grandchildren, Sean, Niamh and Caitlin Hinchee and Richard and Maximilian Beck, four siblings, Saundra (Bill) Hutchins of Decatur, Mike (Amy) Griswold of Berwick, Marna (Roger) Holt of Enola, PA and Melanie (Larry) Anderelli of Fountain Hills, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Linda graduated from Roseville High School and studied Mathematics at Western Illinois University. She worked for the Department of Treasury in Bloomington for over 20 years.
Linda enjoyed many activities in her life including bowling, archery, bridge, crochet and family genealogy with her husband. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and following their many activities.
