Mollie Morehead, 77, of Normal, passed away at 7:45 a.m., Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal, Ill. after a brief illness.

A Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m., Monday, March 26, 2018 at St. Mary’s Church, Bloomington.

Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m., Sunday, March 25 at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to SOAR or Special Olympics.

Mollie was born March 9, 1941 in Bloomington, the daughter of Clarence A. and Esther J. Ryan Fritsch. She married Ronald C. Morehead on Nov. 26, 1975. He survives.

She is also survived by four children, Kim Harms, Stacey Morehead, Debbie (Carl Arndt) Morehead and Tony Harms; three siblings, Cheri (Art) Peterson, David (Linda) Fritsch and Michelle Fritsch; three grandchildren Samantha (Jeremy Daniel) Morehead, Emily Pate and Nathan Arndt; and four great grandchildren, Chloe Morehead, Corey Lua, Jordan Daniel and Amilia Grayson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an older brother, Richard Fritsch, two sons in infancy and a grandson, Justin Morehead.

Mollie was a graduate of St. Patrick’s grade school and Trinity High School. She worked for Bloomington Offset Printing (BOPI). She was one of the first female printing sales representatives in the state. She also was the proprietor of Mollie’s Place bar and restaurant in LeRoy, owner of Bloomington Shutt Roofing and Schutt CSMC (Carpentry, Siding & Maintenance Co.)

Mollie had a quiet but wonderful sense of humor. She enjoyed reading, watching golf and “going to the boat” with Mary, all with Elvis playing in the background.
